The Company Behind Wallbox

Wallbox was founded in Barcelona, Spain, in 2015 by Enric Asunción and Eduard Castañeda. It listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021.

  1. Small Enough for a Tight Garage

Wallbox describes the Pulsar Plus as smaller than a toaster and lighter than a laptop.

  2. Power Boost

Power Boost is an add-on that uses an energy meter at your switchboard. It slows the car's charge when the house is using a lot of power.

Wallbox Chargers for Homes and Businesses

What is a Wallbox charger?

Wallbox is a Spanish company that makes EV chargers, and it has sold them in Australia since 2018. Its home charger is the Pulsar Plus and its business charger is the Commander 2s. The Supernova is its DC fast charger, the kind you see at public charging sites. It feeds power straight to the car's battery, so it charges far faster than a home charger.

The Pulsar Plus is Wallbox's home charger, and it comes with its own cable fixed on or as a socket for your car's cable.

The Commander 2s lets each driver unlock the charger with their own RFID card, a small tag you tap on the charger, so a business or strata can see who used it.

  • We Supply and Install

We supply the Wallbox that suits your site and install it. The charger carries its manufacturer's warranty, and our installation comes with a 2-year workmanship warranty.

  • Already Bought a Wallbox?

We'll install it safely and to standard. Send us photos of your switchboard, the box your circuit breakers sit in, and where you want the charger.

How We Install Your Wallbox

The same six steps as every install we do. At a business, we also look at how many cars need to charge and who pays for the power.

  1. Enquiry

You reach out by phone, form, or referral; we'll have a quick chat to understand what you need and how we can help.

  2. Project Details

We'll ask for a few photos and details:

    • Your switchboard
    • The proposed installation location
    • Any solar or battery setup
    • EV make/model

This helps us give you accurate advice from the start.

  3. Consultation

We'll talk through your needs, including:

    • Current EV
    • Plans to add more EVs
    • Solar integration
    • Load capacity of your home

We'll also explain what options make sense, and which don't.

  4. Quote

You'll get a proper quote, not just a price. It includes:

    • Product recommendation (with options)
    • Full install scope
    • Any upgrades needed (e.g. switchboard work)
    • Optional extras like app control or solar syncing
  5. Installation

The installation day usually takes half to three-quarters of a day. We'll:

    • Turn up on time
    • Work cleanly and safely
    • Commission and test the charger
    • Show you how to use it
  6. Ongoing Support

We show you the app (if applicable), check that everything's working, and ensure you're comfortable. And if something goes wrong later? You've got a local number to call us.

  7. Your Wallbox, live and charging

Why Choose ChargingWA for Your Wallbox?

We install home chargers and car park chargers, so we can set a Wallbox up for one car or a whole car park.

We've fitted chargers at Perth homes, an office in Canning Vale, a car dealer and an apartment block in Dalkeith.

  • Experienced Team

Steve Randall has installed EV chargers across WA for over 10 years. Our install team has over 7 years of experience.

  • Straight Advice

If a feature you'd pay extra for won't help on your site, we'll tell you before you spend the money.

  • Local Support

We're based here in WA, so we're close by if anything goes wrong after the install.

The Wallbox Chargers We Install

We match the Wallbox to your power supply, your car and the people who'll use it.

Single-phase sites have one supply line from the street, and three-phase sites have three. A tethered charger has its own cable fixed to it, and a socket charger uses the cable that came with your car.

What a Wallbox Install Costs

The cost depends on your switchboard, your power supply, how far the cable runs and, at a business, how many chargers you need. So we quote each Wallbox install.

Your quote lists the chargers, the full install scope and any switchboard work.

Home and Workplace Installs Across Perth

These two installs are both Ocular chargers, one at a Morley home and one at an office in Canning Vale. The Canning Vale charger is Ocular's IQ Wallbox, not a Wallbox brand charger.

Choosing a Wallbox for Your Site

Wallbox makes a charger for each kind of site. Which one fits depends on who parks there and how quickly they need to charge.

Most cars charge overnight at home, so the Pulsar Plus covers most homes. The bigger chargers are for sites where many cars share the power.

Commercial EV charger installation in Perth
  • One Car at Home

The Pulsar Plus charges one car overnight. Pick the tethered version for convenience, or the socket version if you'd rather use your car's own cable.

  • Shared Car Parks

In an apartment block or office, the Commander 2s lets each driver use their own RFID card, so access and power use can be tracked per driver.

  • Fast Public Charging

The Supernova is a DC fast charger. Its 60kW version adds about 100km of range in under 15 minutes, which suits public sites and fleets on a tight turnaround.

  • Single or Three-Phase

Your supply decides how fast an AC charger, the everyday kind used at homes and workplaces, can run. We check your switchboard and phases before we quote, so the charger matches what your site can carry.

Wallbox Charger FAQs

More on EV Charging

How much does a Wallbox installation cost in Perth?

Every Wallbox install is quoted, because your switchboard, your supply, the cable run and the number of chargers all change the price. Send us photos of the switchboard and the charger spot, and we'll price it properly.

Who makes Wallbox chargers?

Wallbox chargers are made by Wallbox, a Spanish company that has sold its chargers in Australia since 2018.

Is the Ocular IQ Wallbox a Wallbox charger?

No. The IQ Wallbox is made by Ocular, a different brand. People also say "wallbox" for any charger fixed to a wall. We install both brands, and we'll tell you which one suits your site.

Can I install my own EV wall charger?

No. A wall charger must be installed by a licensed electrician. Ours are licensed, insured WA electricians, and we check your switchboard can carry the charger before we fit it.

Is the Wallbox Commander 2s good for apartments?

It's built for shared car parks. Each resident taps their own RFID card to charge, so access and power use can be tracked per driver. We'll check the building's supply before we recommend how many to fit.
